Curate. Scout. Match.

At Simply Scouted we know online dating sucks. Finding quality matches interested in actual relationships are few and far between. What if there was some way to scout singles based upon things that actually matter to you? Things that might be uncomfortable to ask on a first (or even second) date. The “make or break” points or must haves you seek in a potential match.

Simply Scouted puts the power of scouting potential matches in your hands. No BS. We ask simple questions. Create a well-crafted profile. Present relevant information. Deliver quality matches. Curate, scout, and match. It’s that simple!

Our Mission

Our mission is to rethink the approach to the world of online dating and find a better way to get better quality matches. No more endless swiping based on pictures of people who may or may not be real with corny taglines or profiles. We took the approach of letting users see a picture of who they match with, after they match with another user. Our proprietary resume-based matching environment puts the power in the user’s hands to read through resumes with information you actually want to know to build a deeper foundation for user relationships. We hope you enjoy. Curate. Scout. Match.

1. How do I cancel my membership?

Canceling your membership with Simply Scouted is as easy as sending your request to support@simplyscouted.com and deleting the app from your phone.

2. Do I pay for Simply Scouted, or is it free?

Right now, Simply Scouted’s services are free! In the future, there may be some new premium features added which could be purchased in the app.

3. How does messaging work?

Once you have successfully matched with another user on the Simply Scouted app, you can begin messaging that user directly within the app by going to “My Matches” and selecting the bubble icon on right for messaging. If you decide to delete the conversation on your side, you can do so by selecting the information icon (“i”) in the top right, then selecting the red “-” icon on the left to delete the message from your app. Please note that deleting a message on your app will not delete it from the other user’s app.

4. Why can't I start a conversation with someone who I swiped on?

On the Simply Scouted app, users first need to match with another user (both users swiping on or selecting to match with each other) before messaging between those users is enabled.

5. Why can't I see someone's picture?

One of the many differentiators between Simply Scouted’s app and other dating apps on the market is that the matching experience on the Simply Scouted app is based on the resume of the user, as opposed to just the user’s picture. Once you have matched with another user, you will be able to see their picture and that user will be able to see yours. We believe that this matching approach will lead to a deeper connection with the user you match with!

6. Why are resume lengths different?

Resume lengths may vary from user to user primarily based on the number of questions they elect to answer. Users who fully answer the questions provided in the resume building section when establishing the account will have a more fulsome and filled out (longer) resume with more information than a user who declines to answer a number of the questions when establishing the account. Since the matching environment on the Simply Scouted app is based on the resumes, and not user pictures, we believe that the more information on your resume the better informed a prospective match can be when swiping!

7. Why can I only add one picture?

At this time only picture per user is currently supported. While this may change in the future, the main focus in the matching environment is on the user resume which provides information about the users currently on the app for you to swipe on and match with! Once you have matched with another user, you will be able to view their picture and vice versa. We would encourage all users to upload a current and accurate picture of themselves!

8. Why can't I customize my profile?

User profiles / resumes are standardized for the matching environment. While some resumes may be longer than others, and some may be shorter than others, the resume layout is generally the same to ensure uniformity across the resumes.
